A new Helldivers 2 leak has rocked the community once again, this time hinting that Super Earth — the center of human civilization in the game — is facing a serious threat from a long-awaited enemy faction: The Illuminati. The leak first emerged from the X account (formerly Twitter) Iron_S1ghts, a leaker known for being accurate in the Helldivers 2 community. Interestingly, the leak was initially shared as part of an April Fool’s joke. However, Iron_S1ghts has now stated with full confidence that the Illuminate’s invasion of Super Earth is indeed in the testing phase.
From Joke to Reality?
On April 1, Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer of Helldivers 2, joined in on the joke-filled day by releasing a small patch that fixed several bugs — as well as changing the size of the Sickle and Liberator weapons to confuse players. But it seems, not everything that was shared that day was just a joke.
According to Iron_S1ghts, the Illuminate invasion plan mentioned in his post has now become a reality. “I can say with certainty that the Illuminate’s attack on Super Earth is being tested,” he said. The leaker also stated that he was quite surprised that the joke he made could actually come true.
Return to Malevelon Creek and the Emergence of a New Threat
Helldivers 2 itself was released in February 2024 and immediately won a place in the hearts of FPS fans. As a sequel to the 2015 game, Helldivers 2 offers intense cooperative action where players lead elite troops against enemy invasions such as Terminids and Automatons.
Recently, the game released Major Order which took players back to the iconic battlefield of Malevelon Creek. However, if the Illuminate invasion is really going to start, then Malevelon Creek may soon lose its status as a major resistance center.
The Illuminate itself is known as a mysterious faction with various deadly situs gacor units such as the Overseer and Elevated Overseer who are included in the S-tier class. Players have long been waiting for their full presence in the game, and it looks like that moment is coming soon.
Super Earth: The Heart of Human Civilization
Super Earth is more than just a backdrop. In Helldivers 2 lore, it is the center of the Super Earth Federation and is comprised of seven sectors, including the advanced nations of Europe, Oceania, and Latin America. Formerly known as “Earth,” it was formed after a collision with the planet Thea, creating the Super Moon and a ring around it.
With a large-scale invasion in the works, fans are starting to speculate: Will Super Earth be the next battleground? Or will humanity have to retreat and fortify its defenses at Malevelon Creek?
